The Doberman Pinscher is a medium-to-large working breed known for intelligence, loyalty, and a strong bond with its family. Originally bred in Germany as a personal protection and guard dog, the modern Doberman is athletic, alert, and highly trainable — a natural fit for obedience, protection, and active family life. Males typically stand about 26–28 inches and 75–100 lbs; females about 24–26 inches and 60–90 lbs.
A well-bred Doberman is confident and stable, not nervous or sharp. Temperament is largely inherited, which is why we select every sire and dam for clear nerves, sound structure, and real-world suitability before we ever plan a litter. Puppies are raised underfoot with early socialization and structured handling so they arrive home confident and ready to learn.
Dobermans carry breed-specific health risks, so we test our breeding dogs accordingly: cardiac screening for dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), von Willebrand's disease (vWD) DNA testing, thyroid, and OFA hip evaluations, following CHIC protocols where applicable.
